Position Summary:
The Seneca Recreation Department is hiring dependable and enthusiastic individuals to serve as Recreation Workers for our youth sports programs. This position offers a great opportunity to gain experience in sports operations, event management, and youth engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Keep the official scorebook and operate the game clock during Basketball and Football games.
• Serve as the official referee for all 6U Basketball and Soccer and umpire T-ball games, ensuring games are safe, fair, and fun.
• Work admissions at tournaments, including managing entry points, taking payments, and providing wristbands.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming presence for players, coaches, parents, and spectators.
• Arrive on time, in appropriate attire, and prepared to complete assigned tasks.
• Report any incidents or concerns to Recreation Department staff.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Basic knowledge of rules and game flow (training will be provided).
• Strong communication, decision-making, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to fast-paced settings.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality required.

Compensation:
This is a contract-based position paid through ArbiterSports with a 1099 form. Compensation will be based on assigned duties and discussed during onboarding.
