About the Internship:

The Seneca Recreation Department is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns interested in gaining hands-on experience in recreation operations and athletics. This internship provides an opportunity to learn about sports management, event coordination, facility operations, and community engagement in a dynamic recreation setting.

Responsibilities:

Operations & Administration:

• Assist with scheduling fields, games, and officials.
• Track attendance and gate entry using the square app.
• Manage equipment inventory and order supplies.

Athletics & Programming:

• Assist with organizing youth and adult leagues.
• Help plan tournaments, practices, and camps.
• Fill in as an official when needed.

Event & Facility Management:

• Set up and break down for games and events.
• Ensure field and facility maintenance needs are met.
• Manage crowd control and customer service at events.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a college program in Sports Management, Recreation, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for sports, recreation, and community engagement.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and scheduling software is a plus.
