Seneca Light and Water has over 500 miles of water lines. Distribution lines range in size from 2 to 24 inches in diameter. The City owns all of the pipes, storage tanks, pumping stations and water treatment facilities which it operates. All lines are typically installed in rights-of-way owned by the City and the State.

Seneca Light and Water's service area includes the areas within the corporate limits of the City, as well as portions of the unincorporated areas of the County. The City provides water service to a majority of the eastern portion of the County and supplies wholesale water service to Keowee Key, the Town of Salem, and Pioneer Rural Water District. Also, SL&W provides backup water service for the City of Walhalla and the City of Westminster.
