Recreation Department
The Seneca Recreation Department provides a variety of activities, special events, and athletics for a wide range of ages. The department maintains 7 lighted Baseball/Softball Fields, 5 Fields at KAPP (for T Ball & Soccer), 1 Football Field and 3 indoor Basketball Courts. We also maintain two outdoor Playgrounds, 2 outdoor Basketball Goals, 2 outdoor Batting Cages, 1 outdoor Soft Toss area, a 1.1 mile paved Walking Track, 18 hole Disc Golf Championship Course, Shorter Beginners Disk Golf Course and a Nature Trail/Cross Country Track 3.2 miles.

Services shall be provided to enrich the quality of life for local citizens and to provide economic value through facilities which create tourism and encourage long term community stability and growth.

Current Sports Registration
Seneca Recreation Department Fall Sports Registration begins Monday, May 30th, 2023. The deadline for registration is Friday, June 16th, 2023. Registration will close at 5:00PM on Friday, June, 2023.
Please make sure you order the correct size for your child. We order the sizes that you register for.
Please contact us by Thursday, June 15th if you are interested in sponsoring a Fall Sport.
Available Sports:
- Soccer (age as of 09/01/23)
- Fall Softball (age as of 09/01/23)
- Fall Baseball (age as of 09/01/23)
- Volleyball (age as of 09/01/23)
- Tackle Football (age as of 09/01/23)
- Registration fee due when registering a $50 refundable fee when equipment returned due when sizing
- Cheerleading (age as of 09/01/23)
- Registration fee due when registering a $50 NON refundable cost/fee for uniform due when sizing.
Registration fees are:
- Inside City Limits:
- if the City of Seneca picks up your trash you live in City Limits
- $35.00
- Outside City Limits:
- if the City of Seneca DOES NOT pick up your trash you live outside City Limits
- $60.00
No Registration Will Be Accepted By Phone Or Fax.

Please do not make a new account if you already have one. You can email srd@seneca.sc.us or call 864-885-2709 if you need help in recovering your log in information or would like to sponsor a team. If registering for the first time – please make sure that the parent/guardian is head of household when creating an account.
No request will be accepted by phone. Please put all request/information we may need in the notes when you register. Please also use the note section if you would like to coach along with what age group/sport.
Please sign your child up according to individual sports deadlines. Any late registrations will be subject to a late fee and are not guaranteed a spot.
Coaches Needed
Seneca Recreation Department is currently looking for volunteers to coach in certain ages for fall sports. Please email srd@seneca.sc.us if you are interested in coaching. Please include your name, phone number, and your child’s name if they are participating in sports at the SRD along with age and sport you are interested in coaching. Someone will contact you if there is a need in that age/sport.
