Planning Commission
The City of Seneca Planning Commission was created in order to guide and accomplish a coordinated and harmonious development of the city which will, in accordance with existing and future needs, best promote the public health, safety, morals, order, convenience, prosperity, and general welfare, as well as efficiency and economy in the process of development as authorized by South Carolina Code of Laws 1976, Section 6-29-340 and empowered and governed by the City of Seneca Code of Law, Section 19-16.
Application & Meeting Schedule
Meetings of the Seneca Planning Commission occur on the third Monday of the month at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 221 E. North First Street. The deadline for applications is 12:00 PM on the dates listed below. Please note meetings are subject to change and may be cancelled if there is no official business to conduct. All meetings are open to the public.

If you wish to submit your application before the deadline, there will be more time for our staff to work with you to ensure that your proposed work meets the official zoning ordinance and applicable city code requirements. Applications should be turned in at the Planning & Development office at City Hall.
