The Mayor of Seneca, Dan Alexander, has proclaimed the week of September 27, 2010 as 'South Carolina Lions and Hearing Conservation Week' to coincide with 'Lions World Sight Day' on October 2, 2010. 'Lions Sight and Hearing Conservation Week' will begin on September 27, 2010, and continue through October 2, 2010, to include the annual 'Lions Candy Days' donation drive.

There are more than 5.000 Lions Club Members of the State of South Carolina actively engaged in sight and hearing conservation and aid to the blind and deaf.
