SENECA, SC, APRIL 3, 2012: The Blue Ridge Arts Center announces a fundraising dinner sponsored by the Tiki Hut on Wednesday, May 30 from 7pm – 9pm. Supporting the arts benefits the whole community by:
1. Enhancing the quality of life in our community by bringing important exhibits to Seneca such as the SC Watermedia and the American Impressionist Exhibits,
2. Providing art classes to kids and adults,
3. Giving budding artists a place where they can exhibit and sell their masterpieces.

“We feel honored to hold this at the newly renovated space at Tiki Hut. This fundraiser brings heightened awareness of how the arts enhance our community”, said Lisa Kiser, Executive Director. The Tiki Hut will donate all proceeds from its Italian Buffet that night to the Blue Ridge Arts Center. The Italian Buffet will include antipasto, salad, several Italian entrees and desert.

The suggested minimum donation is $12 per person, $6 for children. Additional contributions will be gratefully accepted. “We purposely kept the suggested donation low so that as many people as possible could participate”, said Kiser. Anyone can come to the Tiki Hut that night for the Italian Buffet – you don’t need have a Tiki Hut membership.

The Blue Ridge Arts Center has been bringing art to the people and people to the arts for over forty years. They have nine different exhibits planned for 2012 and an exciting summer arts school program for children. Admission to the Blue Ridge Arts Center gallery is free to anyone who appreciates the arts. It is open Tue-Fri 1-5pm.
