Dewitt Martin Honored For 20 Years of Service.

Seneca Appoints New Fire Chief
Jan Oliver has been appointed the new Fire Chief for the Seneca Fire Department. Jan has been with the Department since March of 1986 and was Captain before being awarded Chiefs position. He was Fire Marshall for 5 years so Chief Oliver brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new position as Fire Chief of the Seneca Fire Department. Congratulations Fire Chief Jan Oliver!

Seneca Water Plant Receives Envision Silver Award
Seneca’s Water Treatment Plant Improvements project in South Carolina is the recent recipient of the Envision Silver award from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI). The water treatment plant is the third infrastructure project in South Carolina to earn an Envision award from ISI, and is the first to earn a Silver award in the state. Job Shadowing at City Hall!
Justyn Gibson, an 8th grader at West Oak Middle School, job shadowed his grandmother Code Enforcement Officer Tina Kirby on Friday, February 25, 2011. He was able to view  and participate in some of the duties that his grandmother and other employees do throughout the day. Plus,  a lot of the employees had the previlige to meet Justyn. Justyn's grandfather Detective Ken Kirby also works for the City of Seneca.
